Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is the flagship of the Disney resort collection — a Victorian-inspired luxury hotel on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon with direct monorail access to Magic Kingdom. It is also, by a significant margin, the most expensive place to stay on Disney property.

• Boat service to Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center
• Victoria & Albert's — Disney's only AAA Five Diamond restaurant, on property

Who It's Right For

The Grand Floridian is right for families and couples for whom the resort experience is as important as the parks — who want to feel like they're on a luxury vacation, not just a theme park trip. It's particularly well-suited to honeymoons, anniversaries, and milestone celebrations.

It is not the right choice for families who will spend all day in the parks and return only to sleep. For those families, a Moderate or Value resort provides the same park access at a fraction of the cost.

Jim's Tip: If the Grand Floridian is outside your budget but you want the monorail experience, the Polynesian Village Resort offers comparable transportation access at a somewhat lower price point — and its own distinct, beautiful theming.
